Summer Travel 2021: Florida, the sunshine state!

First Stop: St. Petersburg

The Gulf Coast of Florida is paradise! White sand beaches and turquoise waters host several tourists each year. We added ourselves to the list as we visited St. Pete Beach Suites. This iconic hotel was built in the 1940s! If you are a history buff like me, then you will love the style of this charming hotel. In 2016-2017 it underwent a remodel, but they kept the charm of the original style with the bonus of friendly and efficient staff. It made it more enjoyable to have a kitchenette and living space in addition to our bedroom/bathroom, you know a Suite and it was sweet. Corny play on words, but I had too! Not only did we love our accommodations, but the location was perfect. The beach was about a block away, but if you want you can relax by the two pools or play some fun outdoor games, they also had bikes you could use as well. Local cuisine was also just a short walk, and let me tell you, the food was great! We adventured to Rick's Reef for breakfast, we had happy hour at Woody's Waterfront, and dinner at The Toasted Monkey and Buoys. Wonderful service and fantastic food. This place is truly a gem, and we can't wait to go back!
